Find out the ranking of the most expensive logistics companies in the world. The strongest brand is not in the first place.

According to the company, UPS tops the ranking despite a brand value decline of 8% over the year to $35.4 billion. The American brand FedEx ranks second, with an 11% increase to $28.9 billion. The Japanese brand JR takes third place, having achieved a 12% increase to $13.8 billion.

“The logistics sector witnessed unprecedented growth in online shopping during the pandemic, as restrictions changed consumer behavior. While the shift towards e-commerce is expected to continue, it may not be as rapid as during the peak of the pandemic. Although tough times lie ahead, logistics brands can expect that this ongoing transition to online retail could drive revenue growth in the e-commerce segment,” stated Richard Hay, managing director of Brand Finance.

Experts named Maersk the fastest-growing brand, achieving a 53% increase in brand value, now totaling $7.4 billion. Maersk has not only expanded its air cargo business but also acquired LF Logistics, enhancing its capabilities and further expanding its presence in Asia.

One of the leaders in the ranking, the Japanese brand JR, is considered by experts to be the strongest logistics brand, receiving an AAA rating. This means it ranks first across all key metrics, including marketing investments, shareholder equity, and business efficiency. The brand’s impact on Japan’s infrastructure was also considered. JR achieved an exceptional brand value score in Japan, with a recognition rate of 95.10 out of 100 and a reputation score of 8.01 out of 10.
